My Meeting with Local Highways Department

My Meeting with Local Highways Department

This morning I had a meeting at the Highways Depot in Bagshot with a senior Highways officer which was in part an induction for me in order for me to be briefed on the most effective ways to get highways related matters raised by you addressed in the most efficient way.

The meeting was also to get specific matters addressed that have been brought to my attention since being elected to the county council in early May.

I am glad to report that the meeting was very useful and I will be contacting those residents who have brought highways related issues to my attention, to advise on the outcome of their specific concerns.

If I can remind residents that if you spot something in the community that needs to be reported to the Highways team (such as pot holes or damaged street furniture) the 'Report It' feature on the Surrey County Council web site is very easy to use and a great way to get these issues resolved quickly. Just go to www.surreycc.gov.uk and click/tap the "Report it' tab.
