The Fencing of the MOD Training Areas Deepcut

The Fencing of the MOD Training Areas Deepcut

Another cause for concern with local residents is the fencing off of the MOD Training Areas which sadly will be permanent.

I did think that this formed part of the original planning arrangements but I was mistaken. Now I have had chance to seek clarification from the councils development control team I am fairly certain this isn't covered in the planning permission. However as the fences are securing the MOD areas still in use by the MOD they likely to fall within the scope of permitted development.

Details of the areas where the fencing is being erected have been sent to our Development Control team with a view to get the enforcement team to take a look and make an assessment of whether planning permission is required; however the lead officer at the council suspects that this is unlikely to be the case.

Once I have more information on this to report I will of course communicate this to residents.
