Mindenhurst / Deepcut Barracks Works Disruptions Update - 30th October 2017

  • Construction of the Northern Access Roundabout on the Deepcut Bridge Road-Newfoundland Road junction;
  • Junction to Newfoundland Road was closed Monday 25th September 2017 and this junction will not re-open;
  • Diversion route is signposted to the North of Dettingen Park Estate via Minorca Road;
  • Works to tie in new road and Royal Way will commence Monday 23rd October for up to 8 weeks;
  • Roundabout works are programmed for completion at the end of February 2018.

  • Advertising hoarding has been erected on the junction of Deepcut Bridge Road and Brunswick Road, works are now complete with the exception of 4 flags
  • Installation of a 1.7km boundary fence commenced Monday 16th October 2017 along the perimeter of the military training ground to the East of Princess Royal Barracks, these works will continue for 6 weeks
  • Construction to the haul road to the north of the site including widening of Cyprus Road, upgrading surface water drainage and reducing the size of the island in Minorca Road commenced Monday 23rd October 2017;
  • Works will require temporary traffic management including traffic lights;

  • Trees have been removed to allow for the wider road that will be adopted by the local authority;
  • Replacement trees will be planted in this area in 2018 after construction of the Haul Road is complete.

  • Construction of the village green, adjacent to Brunswick Road, will commence Monday 13th November 2017 for 6 months. Commencement has been delayed due to prolonged procurement
  • Works to replace the DIO electrical supplies to the existing MOD housing will commence 30thOctober 2017, temporary traffic management will be in place for up to 4 weeks.
